Wound Zoom and Elixr

Working with a team of four, we were asked to design two new identities for a wound care monitoring system and its affiliated software company. The wound monitoring company (Wound Zoom) is based out of Stevens Point and the software company (Elixr) out of Great Britain. Meeting twice a week for six weeks, we conducted a series of conceptual brainstorming and sketching sessions with our clients followed by digital comps.

This process proved to be quite challenging as I was asked to both mediate meetings between designer and

client as well as design logos that met the clients specific needs of a logo that looked both futuristic and clerical.

These designs also helped us evaluate working on large-scale brand reboots as well as create environmental graphics that would adorn the products themselves.

Ultimately, we decided on using a word mark for Wound Zoom that directly correlated with what the product did along with a symbol of the shutter process used on the wound measuring device itself, and a similar motif for Elixr that corresponded with the lazer technologies used in the software for the measuring device.
